Biscuits at 2am? Not Anymore – My Honest Thoughts on Killa Vanilla

Biscuits at 2am? Not Anymore – My Honest Thoughts on Killa Vanilla

It’s 2:15am. Isobel’s finally down. I should definitely be asleep. But instead, I’m standing in the kitchen, staring at the biscuit tin like it personally wronged me.

Anyone else?

This used to be my routine. Kids asleep = kitchen raid. I’d tell myself I “deserved a treat” after surviving another day of toddler tantrums, bottle battles, and wiping literally everything all day long. I wasn’t even hungry most nights. Just… restless. Tired. In need of something sweet to take the edge off.

Then I found Killa vanilla , and honestly, it’s changed the game.

Wait – What Is This Thing?

It’s basically a little vanilla-scented stick (think Vicks-style inhaler, but way nicer) that helps calm sugar cravings. You just open it, breathe in the scent deeply for a minute or two, and boom craving starts to back off.

I was super sceptical. Like, how can smelling something stop me from inhaling three chocolate Hobnobs at midnight? But weirdly… it does.

Why It Works for Me (and Might for You Too)

Here’s the thing: most of my cravings aren’t about food. They’re about habit, comfort, and exhaustion. What I needed wasn’t another diet tip, I needed something to interrupt the cycle.

Killa vanilla gives me that little pause. That tiny space between want and act. I reach for it instead of the sweets, take a few deep breaths (yes, sometimes in the dark next to the baby monitor), and I actually feel better.

Vanilla’s meant to trigger the same happy chemicals in your brain that sugar does. So, it sort of tricks your brain into thinking you’ve had a treat.

And to be honest? Most nights, it works well enough that I just go back to bed instead of raiding the fridge.

My First Week Using It

Night 1: Sniffed it. Felt silly. Still didn’t eat the biscuits.

Night 2: Craved chocolate after the baby’s 3am wake-up—used the stick instead. Sat on the sofa, breathed, then went back to sleep.

Night 5: Didn’t even want anything sweet. Just reached for the vanilla, took a breath, and that was enough.

It’s Not Magic, But It
Is a Mum Hack

Let’s be clear, I’m not saying this will make you suddenly forget sugar exists. But for me, it’s helped me stop reacting to cravings on autopilot. And that feels like a big deal.

Plus, it’s not messy, it doesn’t involve counting calories, and there’s no guilt attached. Just a simple tool that lives in my dressing gown pocket.

(Yes, I have a “mum robe.” Yes, it’s got snacks and now a vanilla stick in it.)

Things I Love About It:

  • Smells amazing. Like a spa day I’ll never have.
  • It’s tiny – fits in my nappy bag, car, coat pocket.
  • It helps me pause long enough to make better choices.
  • No calories. No shame spiral.

So, Would I Recommend It?

If you’re a tired mum who’s tried everything to stop stress-snacking, this is honestly worth a go. I got the 3-month pack, and now I keep one next to my bed, one in the kitchen, and one in the car for post-preschool chaos moments.

You don’t have to “be good” or “go sugar-free” to use it. It’s just something that helps. And for me, that’s been enough to break the habit of 2am biscuit raids.

In Summary:

Craving sugar when you’re tired isn’t weak it’s just your brain crying out for a break. Killa vanilla  doesn’t fix everything, but it gives me a little breathing space. And sometimes, that’s all I need.

So next time you’re up at ridiculous o’clock and the snacks are calling your name—maybe try Killa vanilla  first.

It might just surprise you.
